Teacher Externship Opportunity - Summer 2026

A local graphic arts teacher has contacted PIAG seeking an externship opportunity with a printer or design member company. The goal is for the teacher to spend time at a working shop - job shadowing and assisting with applicable projects - to gain firsthand insight into current industry trends, equipment, and processes.

Externships allow educators to bring real-world knowledge back to the classrooms, helping to better prepare students for careers in the industry.

Externship Details:

• Duration: 40 hours
• Dates: Anytime between July 13-24
• Format: Job shadowing plus hands-on project participation on applicable projects.
• No cost or obligation to the host company

Educator Details:

• 12 years of teaching experience
• 7 years of prior industry experience in graphic design and production
• Located in Gwinnett County, but the externship can be in another metro Atlanta county.
