About the Survey
The Wage & Benefits Survey is the most comprehensive annual survey on labor costs and human resource policies of print-related companies. From top management to the shipping department, the survey annually captures labor costs and human resource practices from nearly 400 firms and more than 10,000 employees across North America. All data is reported in averages to ensure strict confidentiality of participants.

Instructions for Getting Started:

  1. This year's portal has been upgraded and requires new and returning users to "Sign Up" and create a new password. The “Sign Up” link is on the Sign In screen under “Forgot Password?”
    • If you have participated in previous years, use the same email from before to log in. You will be prompted to create a new password. Your will then be taken to a dashboard page and your profile will be automatically populated with your company information. 
    • If you have not participated before, upon creating a new password, you will be taken to a screen to complete basic contact information. By registering, your information will be available for you to update next year.
    • If you are uncertain if you have an existing account or what e-mail was used, simply email info@piamidam.org and a team member will assist you.
  2. Benefits and Wages are broken into separate tables this year to allow for your benefits coordinator and HR professionals to both enter data.
  3. To begin entering data, select "Start" by the Benefits or Wages option. 
    • Previous data will populate the fields if available. When you click save, it will update your 2023 survey.
    • A PDF benefits template can be found here and an Excel wages template can be found here. These may be useful reference points for gathering data before going to the online portal. 
    • You can return and update information if needed.
  4. Review job descriptions. A listing of job descriptions that complement the survey can be found here
  5. Please enter survey data by location. You can add locations by selecting the option next to the survey box on the main dashboard page.
  6. You have the flexibility to start and stop as needed. For returning users, the survey will only take 5-10 minutes. It will take new users 20-30 minutes. Once submitted, information is final for this year.
