PIAG Foundation Celebrates 40 Years of Workforce Development for Georgia’s Print Industry
The PIAG Educational Foundation is proudly celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, marking four decades of dedication to advancing technical education, supporting students, and fostering innovation in learning. Since its founding in 1985, the Foundation has positively impacted countless students, educators, and communities throughout Georgia through scholarships and educational programs.
To commemorate this milestone, PIAG is dedicating the current issue of its PrintQueue magazine to telling the story of the Foundation’s formation, including interviews with leaders who were involved at the time, as well as spotlighting the Foundation’s positive impact on students interested in exploring a career in print and graphic communications.
“Reaching our 40th anniversary is a testament to the unwavering support of our donors, partners, volunteers, and the passionate educators who inspire the next generation,” said Jon Krueger, PIAG President & CEO. “We are excited to celebrate our past while looking ahead to new ways to empower students and educators for the future.”
Since 2018, the PIAG Educational Foundation has awarded scholarships totaling more than $100,000 in financial aid to Georgia students attending technical colleges and universities, as well as provided funding and support to its educational partners, such as SkillsUSA Georgia. Moving forward, the Foundation remains committed to its mission of ensuring a bright future for the graphic communications industry by attracting and developing the next generation of workforce and further a pipeline of talented workers for the industry.
The Georgia print community will celebrate the industry and recognize the Foundation’s 40th anniversary together at the PIAG imPRESS Celebration of Print banquet on August 14 in Atlanta.
