Judging, Speaking, Career Day, and Sponsorship Opportunities
SkillsUSA Georgia will hold its annual State Leadership & Skills Conference (SLSC) next month in Atlanta. Thousands of outstanding career and technical education students will compete in 150+ different trade, technical, and leadership career competitions. Contests are run with the help of industry, trade associations, and labor organizations.
As a longtime partner of SkillsUSA Georgia, the PIAG Educational Foundation wants to share the following opportunities with its members.
- Virtual Judging for Design Competitions Begins February 10 - Sign Up Deadline is February 6
- Meet the Employer February 19 - Sign Up Deadline is January 31
- Industry Speaker Series February 19-20 - Sign Up Deadline is January 31
- On-Site Judging February 19-20 - Sign Up Deadline is January 30

Virtual Judging for Design Competitions
Begins February 10 - Sign Up Deadline is February 6
These design competitions are judged entirely remotely. There are expected to be two rounds of judging: a preliminary round and a final round.
- Preliminary round submissions are expected to be sent to judges electronically by February 10 and will be due on February 13.
- Final round submissions will be sent on February 16 and will be due on February 19.
Competition Names & Description
- Brand Design - Competitors design a cohesive design package to promote SkillsUSA Georgia, consisting of one trading pin design, one banner design, and one t-shirt design.
- Promotional Poster - Competitors design a poster up to 8.5” x 11” to promote SkillsUSA Georgia to an audience with limited knowledge of SkillsUSA and the pathways it covers.
- SkillsUSA Georgia Pin Design - Competitors design a SkillsUSA Georgia trading pin design that highlights their creative and technical skills.
- SkillsUSA Georgia T-Shirt Design - Competitors design a SkillsUSA Georgia t-shirt design that highlights their creative and technical skills.
All judging for the above competitions is virtual. You can complete the judging at your convenience, any time from when you receive the submissions to when they are due. The preliminary round is expected to be from February 10-13, and the final round from February 16-19.

Meet the Employer
February 19 - Sign Up Deadline is January 31
Summary: Meet the Employer creates a focused space for meaningful conversations between employers and SkillsUSA members who are eagerly looking for employment opportunities. Students will arrive prepared with resumes in hand and ready for professional conversations, interviews, and hiring experiences.
Each participating employer will be assigned a table and is welcome to bring recruitment or hiring materials to support conversations. Students will bring printed copies of their resumes, creating an environment similar to a professional networking or interview event.
Date, Time & Location: February 19, 5:00 - 6:15 PM at the Georgia World Congress Center

Industry Speaker Series
February 19-20 - Sign Up Deadline is January 31
Summary: SkillsUSA Georgia is seeking dynamic and engaging industry professionals to complete this year’s Industry Speaker Series lineup. These expert-led sessions are open to all conference attendees and are designed to expose students to a wide range of careers and real-world industry experiences, regardless of their individual training program.
Date & Location: February 19 and/or 20 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Time: Sessions are 45 minutes each. You may choose one or multiple sessions on either or both days.
- Thursday, February 19: First session begins at 10 AM, last session begins at 4:00 PM.
- Friday, February 20: First session begins at 8:30 AM, last session begins at 4:30 PM.

On-Site Judging
February 19-20 - Sign Up Deadline is January 30
Summary: SkillsUSA Georgia anticipates needing more than 120 judges to support Leadership Competitions on February 19-20. Leadership competitions include competitions such as Career Exploration Portfolio, Community Service Project, Job Interview, and many more.
Date & Location: Georgia World Congress Center
- Thursday, February 19 - Leadership competitions will be held in the afternoon only and will include the majority of their middle school events. A brief orientation will begin at 1:45 PM, and snacks will be provided.
- Friday, February 20 - Friday’s competitions are almost exclusively for high school competitors. A continental grab-and-go breakfast and lunch will be provided. Orientation will begin promptly at 7:30 AM.
