Message from the President: Q1 2026
Planning for an Important Year
As we move our way through the early months of 2026, I’m expecting this to be an important year. The U.S. 250th anniversary celebrations are already underway. All eyes will be on Georgia this summer when we host matches for the FIFA World Cup, one of the largest global sporting events in the world. And there will be plenty of attention paid to our state this fall when local election battles for governor and U.S. Senate are decided.
For PIAG, 2026 marks the 5th anniversary since we became, once again, an entirely independent organization. During that time, we’ve relied on our thINK Success strategic plan as a roadmap and continue to focus on several key priorities:
- Improving our communication with the Georgia print community
- Stabilizing our membership even as we face headwinds due to consolidation
- Strengthening our relationships with partners and neighbors
- Developing reliable print employees
With our roadmap, we’re working on some important initiatives for 2026, including:
- New marketing strategies for our member services, as well as PIAG’s in-house, fully licensed insurance agency to help raise awareness of all the ways we can help printers in Georgia improve their business
- Revising our biggest event – the imPRESS Celebration of Print annual awards banquet – by streamlining the product awards segment of the program to allow for even more networking, entertainment, and a silent auction
- Providing leadership to a coalition comprised of educators, the Georgia Department of Education, and the print industry seeking to modernize the state’s graphic communication education standards
None of this happens without you. The strength of PIAG has always come from engaged members who are willing to share ideas, raise their hands, and help shape what’s next. As always, I encourage you to stay involved, stay curious, and stay connected.
Sincerely,
Jon Krueger
President & CEO
