Georgia Printing and Imaging Association Evolving to
Meet the Needs of Today's (and Tomorrow's) Industry
ATLANTA --The Printing & Imaging Association of Georgia (PIAG) announces Project 2012: Members First, a plan to provide Georgia's graphic communications industry with increased return on investment through a redefinition of association goals and offerings.
PIAG President Randy Camp explains, “Project 2012 is about evolving PIAG to meet the needs of today's industry, with an eye to leading the industry through future challenges. It's about providing value, mixed with innovation. In real terms, it is about rethinking, retooling and innovating everything we do to provide real, measureable and actionable value that saves our members money and/or helps them grow their business.”
“In order to truly innovate (not just simply tweak things), it is crucial to spend focused time on research, brainstorming and planning for 2012 and beyond,” adds PIAG Executive Vice President Cindy Seel. “So PIAG is putting a few 2011 projects on hold or hiatus in order to build a new value package for 2012. For the next two months members won't see a Georgia Printer, an education program or the golf tournament and PIAG will extend the production deadline of the Buyers Guide to allow for innovation of this important member/buyer resource.” In the meantime, the full-time staff and all-volunteer board will focus on reevaluating the performance and service that these and other projects deliver. PIAG will then develop new ideas and come back to members with forward-thinking programs that will better address their needs and help them achieve their goals of cutting costs and increasing market share.
“We are an industry in transition, and as your trade association we need to be prepared to lead the way. PIAG's goal is to continue to remain an indisputable resource for your business,” Camp adds. “Stay tuned for more specific direction and results from Project 2012.”
